ABOUT US!

Having always been interested in both cookery and art I have been designing and decorating cakes for family and friends for years!

After leaving my role as Personnel Manager at the prestigious Chewton Glen Hotel, I found the demand for my cake-making services grew, and in 2002, I decided to turn what had previously been just a hobby into a business, and Cakes for Every Occasion  was formed.

Since then, things have gone from strength to strength, and I now continue to run a successful business from my own home, offering a personal service baking all manner of bespoke cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and cake pops for every conceivable occasion and celebration!

In July 2011, I qualified as a teacher in the Further Education sector, and have taught on Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Sugarcraft courses, and Wired Sugar Flowers hobby courses, at Bournemouth College, and also privately at home and at other local venues.  I have until recently taught Sugarcraft courses for Skills & Learning.

I have also been a Moderator for the ABC Examination Board, where I visited Catering Colleges in order to verify the qualifications, and meet and encourage Sugarcraft students. 

Having completed a Masters Degree in Illustration, in 2022, at the Arts University Bournemouth, I illustrate children's books - as well as painting on cakes!
